Le pays du Bourbon et du Rye
La plupart des whiskeys américains sont élaborés à partir d’un mélange de trois céréales comprenant le maïs, le seigle et l’orge maltée. La céréale principale représente au minimum 51% du mélange, tels le maïs pour le bourbon et le seigle pour le rye whiskey. Pour le maïs, au delà de 80%, on parlera de corn whiskey.
